FAQ

//You have a super weird name. Your parents must have been crazy. How do I pronounce it?
Dude, I know. Try living with it for 17 years! (kidding mom!) You don't even know the kinds of crazy looks substitute teachers have given me over the years. It's pronounced like Cassidy. Super normal, just with a crazy capital D and some extra e's.

//Wait a second. You're 17?
Heck yeah I am! But I promise I'm not too obnoxious and teenager-y.

//What kind of camera and equipment do you use?
I have a Nikon D40 that I basically treat like a child. (his name is Lennon). I use the basic kit lens and occasionally a 200mm zoom lens. For indoor shots I use an off camera flash. I also have a super fun little instax mini that I love to use.

//Do you edit your pictures at all?
Yes, I do! I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and RadLab for editing. I also really love the Instagram and Afterglow apps, so sue me. (please don't, i was just kidding).

//How can I get ahold of you?
You can leave a comment here on the blog, or you could email me at casidee@comcast.net. Your comments and emails mean the world to me and I truly appreciate you taking the time to write. Please note that I am the world's worst email-backer, but I will try to get back to you as soon as possible!

//Why do you take so many self portraits? Are you really that into yourself?
When I was a freshman in high school I took my very first photography class. One of our beginning assignments were self portraits. "Why would I want to take pictures of myself? What kind of weirdo does that? And oh boy, I am so terribly un-photogenic." were the thoughts that ran through my mind. My teacher explained that self portraits were a form of self-expression, a way of finding yourself, yada yada. I thought he was full of it. Fast forward a few years, and I'm realizing that maybe my photo 101 teacher was right. I really enjoy documenting myself at different points of my life, it's become quite therapeutic and calming for me.

//How much do you charge for a family session? What about seniors, couples, etc?
Seniors: $75.00
Couples: $100.00
Families: $125.00
For families with more than seven members, or any other kind of photoshoot you have in mind that is not mentioned here, please email me for rates.

//Are you willing to travel to us?
My first reaction to this would be, heck YEAH I am! But in all honestly, traveling can be a little hard with my school schedule. If you are really interested in having me travel outside of Oregon to take your photos, please email me and we can try to work something out.

Have any more questions? Let me know and I'll add them to this list!
